Apache: Changing Allow and deny to Require -

i required change what's written below use require directive instead, unsure if doing correctly. still in learning phases, , unsure how works.

<directory /usr/local/apache/htdocs/mywebsite> order allow, deny deny allow atlanticferries.com </directory>

my rewritten version is:

<directory /usr/local/apache/htdocs/mywebsite> <requireall> require host atlanticferries.com </requireall> </directory>

i have thought of writing using requirenone instead:

<directory /usr/local/apache/htdocs/mywebsite> <requirenone> require not host atlanticferries.com </requirenone> </directory>

if written require, how done? thank you!

requireany , requirenone tags more complex situations in more require directives involved.

what need is:

<directory /usr/local/apache/htdocs/mywebsite> require host atlanticferries.com </directory>

or deny:

<directory /usr/local/apache/htdocs/mywebsite> require not host atlanticferries.com </directory>

or ip range of 10.20.0.0/16 (just example).

<directory /usr/local/apache/htdocs/mywebsite> require ip 10.20 </directory>

etc.

the purpose of change single require statement simplify things, not complicate them more.

for more detailed description , examples, check require docs require documentation
